Chibo Okonomiyaki & Yo! Panda | SM Mall of Asia, Philippines

It has been a year since we last visited Mall of Asia. And to our surprise, there are already a lot of newly opened restaurants! (OOPS, my tummy is making noise now)

We roamed around the mall while checking out the restaurants and stalls. Until we reached Conrad Manila Hotel, the newly opened  hotel just beside SM Mall Of Asia. The first two floors of the hotel is occupied by S Maison, a retail complex, and the top eight floors is the hotel itself.

Our good friend recommended a Japanese restaurant in S Maison which is, according to him, serves really good okonomiyaki.

Upon entering Chibo Okonomiyaki, the crew greeted us with delight and attended to us immediately. The ambience is great and a little like a posh-style restaurant.

We ordered their famous Chibo Okonomiyaki, Doutonbori Okonomiyaki and Gyoza Teppan.

The okonomiyaki will be prepared right in front of you as there is a pan installed in each of the tables.

Right after the Doutonbori Okonomiyaki was prepared, we digged in to it! Our friend was right, it was really damn good! It has beef with konnyaku, shrimp, cheese and pork. A lot of flavors and components are in this heavenly food. This can serve 2 persons.

I wasn’t able to take a picture of the Chibo Okonomiyaki ‘coz we immediately digged into it! Haha! But fret not, you can check it out in my video. It costs P380 and can serve 2-3 persons.

Their gyoza is presented in a different way as compared to the usual presentation of it. It is thin and crunchy. We were left hanging and wanting for more, since it is just light. However, it also tastes good. This, also, can serve 2-3 persons.

Of course, dessert will always be part of our food trip.

Before going home to the Philippines, I searched through the internet on the recommended desserts in Manila, specifically in SM Mall of Asia. I stumbled upon this article that lists the top dessert must tries in MOA and this one attracted me on the spot.

Waffle with gelato and various toppings… How can I resist this? Tell me.
Yo! Panda serves Italian soft serve gelato with a twist — a bubble waffle!

The Peanut Dulce De Leche is sweeter than what I expected. My friend said that the Choco Matcha Jelly is just average. But the combination of soft serve gelato and egg waffle is great, it’s just that we didn’t find our chosen flavors that appealing to our taste buds.

With that being said, we still decided that we will come back and try their other flavors!

Watch my short video that will surely delight your taste buds!
